Messagenet informs you that user personal data is collected and used by Messagenet in the following ways:

USER ANAGRAPHICAL DATA

User anagraphical data is collected when needed and stored to perform all the functions strictly necessary to provide messaging and telecommunication services, including fax transmission and reception, telephony services, and text messaging. This data is never shared with third parties.

USER-IDENTIFYING DATA

During software and service use, users may communicate to Messagenet unique identifiers ("user-identifying data") as e-mail address(es), mobile phone number(s), Facebook ID(s) or other kind of data that may refer to their identity. Messagenet stores and matches this data with other Messagenet users' data the purpose of showing to other Messagenet users the identifiers that they can reach for free or at prices different than the standard ones. This data is never shared with third parties; it may however intrinsically happen that if a Messagenet user already knows an identifier of another user, they may obtain knowledge of the mere fact that the identifier is part of the Messagenet network.

CONTACT LIST DATA

Messagenet's mobile and web applications read and transmit the contact list data of the device(s) where Messagenet services are configured; as an example, this is done on mobile terminals where Messagenet Talk or Messagenet Mobile software is installed. The contact list data is used for the sole purposes of showing easily to the users which contacts are part of the Messagenet network. Contact list transmission to Messagenet is encrypted, and this data is never shared with third parties.

IP ADDRESSES AND COMMUNICATIONS RECORDS DATA

Messagenet logs, user IP addresses and communication logs records (as an example date/time, calling party, called party, duration of a phone call) and user IP addresses are logged according to Italian Republic laws on mandatory justice services.
This data may be also used for Messagenet internal anti-fraud activity, provided that it is kept for that specific purpose no more than six months. This data is never shared with third parties.

USER RIGHTS

Whenever you desire, you may modify, update or (by unsubscribing from all services) request to delete your personal data (except for data that Messagenet must store according to Italian law) by connecting, with your UserID and Password, to the control panel that is available on the website www.messagenet.com. If you prefer, or for registrations where UserID and password are not given, you may send a registered letter with the request to: Messagenet SpA, via Giacomo Leopardi 9, 20123 Milano (MI), Italia.
